Orlando Math Circle is looking for high-school students to join our team as paid Student Math Circle Assistants. Facilitators help create welcoming, inquiry-based math experiences where younger students can explore challenging problems, collaborate, and build confidence as problem solvers.

Paid Student Math Facilitators

Position: Student Math Circle Assistant

Location: Church On the Drive

Schedule: Monday [time] and Saturday [time]

Time commitment: 6 hours per week

Pay: $15/hour for Assistant Tier 2; $17/hour for Lead Tier 3

Student groups: Pre-K–K, Grades 1–2, and Grades 3–5

Eligibility: High-school students in grades 9–12

Commitment: Through [end of term]

What You'll Do

Student Math Circle Assistants work with younger students during math circle sessions. You will help facilitate activities, encourage students as they work through problems, and contribute to a welcoming and collaborative learning environment.

Facilitator Pathway

Assistants complete a six-session Assistant Series with the same group during one term. After completing the pathway, students can progress to the Lead Facilitator tier and take on greater responsibility for leading sessions.
